Just Between Friends “JBF” Membership Management system:

What is Just Between Friends or “JBF”? In 2009 National PTA selected Just Between Friends as the PTA membership management and communication system to replace what was known as OMDR.

Why should my unit enter our membership into Just Between Friends? It is a valuable resource used to connect MO PTA and National PTA with all its members as well as offering a usable database and communication tool for your unit.

What types of tools can JBF offer my unit? Not only does it enable you to keep track of your PTA members, it can also print your membership cards, enable you to directly communicate via email with your PTA members and other members of your school community, track volunteer hours, create membership reports and/or online or paper school/student directories and much more.

When should I enter my members into JBF? You should enter members as they join.  There are several different options provided to input member information:   manually - one individual at a time, spreadsheet upload – several members or all of your membership or even having your members enter themselves into the system.

Do I have to wait until my membership dues are sent in before inputting members? No, the sooner you get membership information into the system, the sooner you are able to use it to communicate with your members.

Are we required to put our members into JBF? No, this is not a requirement for membership or to be a “Unit in Good Standing”, but PTA recommends that all units use Just Between Friends to enhance local units membership and communication capabilities.  It will simplify your life and strengthen your PTA.

Does it cost my unit anything to use JBF? No, this resource is provided by National PTA free of charge to all units.  In fact, there may be opportunities for your unit to make money by using JBF.
