Independence PTA Receives Healthy Lifestyles Grant

Congratulations to Mill Creek Elementary PTA, Independence, on being selected to receive a Healthy Lifestyle Grant for 2011. Due to the generous contribution of Aetna, National PTA was able to add an extra 23 grants to make a total of 45 grants for 2010-2011.

The grants will go towards funding a large array of programs and activities including 5K runs, healthy snack education, and pedometer challenges, among other activities.
