What’s next for the KCMO School District
 
Since the decision was made to withdraw Accreditation for the KCMO School District on January 1st 2012 many have wondered not only what this means but how will it affect the students both in the KCMO School District and in neighboring districts.  Laying out the different possible scenarios and deciding upon what steps to take next is a task that falls under the responsibilities of the State Board of Education.  Recently the State Board met and discussed recommendations made by the Commissioner of Education, Chris Nicastro.  If you are interested in viewing the current recommendations and the Commissioner’s own analysis this information can be found at http://dese.mo.gov/news/2011/kcsd-options.htm
